Exercise myth #2 that hampers people’s progress

As long as you exercise regularly, it is fine to vegetate routinely as well.

In fact, research suggests that sitting for hours at a time causes a slight increase in the risk of several diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, and possibly cancer – even among people who perform recommended levels of daily exercise. The message is try to stay active in front of the T.V. (ironing clothes, washing dishes, etc.), and try to work some time on your feet into your daily office routine (be the one who volunteers to run to the supply closest for printer ink).
